8Bit Drummer App Reviews

Its OK

This app has a really fun easy to use interface but is severely limited. You cant upload your own samples or change them at all, this is more for somebody that wants to have some quick (really quicik) fun, and not actually make anything worth while. Hopefully some updates will come that will give you more control over the sound effects, also some more complex timing functions would be great.

it seems ok

i mean, it does its thing. Its really really basic.

Very fun.

I cant understand how exporting works, because it didnt export as any sort of audio file. Also it would be a lot better if you implemented keyboard shortcuts.

Great but...

things in mind for an update Choosing length of song (this would be much more fun if you could make songs instead of just little beats) More sounds More slots for sounds

8 bit drummer!!

I love this App fun fast and easy. I have already use this in projects and I may have made a hit with it!! Cant wait for a update but one may not be needed

Why cant I use it in Garageband!?!

This is really simple to use and you can export it to WAV BUT when I try to add it as loops in Garageband it is rejected because it is "32 bit format." WHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYY?????

Awful, Awful, AWFUL!!!

I guess I was expecting something a little more. Definitely not worth $2.99, should be a free app in my opinion.

awesome

very straight forward way to get a good beat with a lot of possibilities.

Pretty Cool

Nice sounds and just what I was looking for... thanks =)

Very nice!

Cool idea and simple to use. Please keep the updates coming!

Good, just one problem.

Very good program, awesome techno/old school beat possibilities. Only problem i have is the beats dont save after i make them. Other than that, great application.

Unpolished and buggy

The app has potential to become something useful and fun to play with or produce loops with, but right now its quite buggy and extremely unpolished. Samples selected dont get saved properly, so going back to edit patterns later is a hit or miss proposition: your only true option is to create something in one sitting and export it immediately. In addition, the samples included are taken from the Freesound project, which only grants a limited license for their use, and requires attribution: this is not something that is spelled out in the app documentation.

iLove this App.

Amazing. At first it didnt have too much, but now its packed full of sound. Needs to add control to where you can play via keyboard. Make this an iPhone app!

Plenty of Sounds

This app is amazing with the endless possiblities for loops and great for a beginner music maker like myself.

Love it

For the price, you cant go wrong. I also dont view the lack of sounds as a bad thing, it keeps you focused and tight. Get this app Update: The laest update has made things one hundred times better! Get this app

wat

Ok, so I open it and am 100% confuzed. :§

After update its great

If i had more time to play with this i would every day. it is quite fun. the latest update added lots of new sounds. i wish there was a way to mute each instrument. and when you add a new loop its blank. but future updates will probably address this. for a few bucks its definitely worth it.

3 DOLLARS FOR AUTHENTIC 8 BIT? woot!

This app is fabulous for making "realer than most" 8-bit trax. no it doesnt save but it can export to itunes rightt away. maybe add better controllers for the samples, (although a huge fan of the preloaded, this is pretty authentic new gen 8-bit). very compatible with some of the other beat makers/loopers/stationers on the app store

Love it

Awesome sounds, easy to use and figure out. Plenty of sounds to mess with.

simple. fun. some improvement needed.

i love downloading a simple, useful, focused, and reasonably price noisemaker, with a geek/tweakers sensibility. love the OS9 look/feel! but i think its in the feel department that some playability could be enhanced. spacebar, or number pad to start stop. ability to sweep the tempo up with the mouse. just little things to make it more solid and playable. keeping the features as simple as they are is fine for $3! but im not gonna argue against other inspired sample settings! maybe some crude sample strecting?
